AKOL Commends Tinubu On Food Import's Taxes Suspension

Dr. Siji Olamiju, a renowned Healthcare Practitioner popularly known as Akol, has expressed his appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his bold step in suspending duties, tariffs, and taxes on food imports.

In a statement released through his media team in Osogbo, Osun State, Dr. Olamiju praised the Federal government's decision as announced by the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, to grant a 150-day duty-free import window for food commodities

Dr. Olamiju, who served as a Cabinet member in charge of Public Health under the Oyetola administration, commended President Tinubu's leadership, stating that this is the first time a Nigerian leader has demonstrated such passionate concerns for the masses. He noted that the suspension of tariffs on food imports shows that the President deeply understands the struggles of millions of Nigerians and care for them. 

Olamiju advised middle marketers, such as Iyalojas and Babalojas, down line for food vendors not to inflate food prices and urged them to support the government's efforts to making life easier for the common people. He also called on Nigerians to robustly support President Tinubu in fulfilling his Renewed Hope agenda for the nation.
