Osun: Idi-Ifa Oba held for the Preparation of Osun Osogbo Festival

Another process in preparation for Osun Osogbo Festival which is Idi-Ifa Oba was heard on Thursday 4th July, 2024 at the Palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo land, His Imperial Majesty Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun (Larooye II) and his family compound Opele where the Royal father's wives will dance with calabash in their from the palace to the family house of the royal family and the oracle will be ask on the situation of things in the town for the next year which was done by the Araba Awo of Osogbo land Araba Ifayemi Elebuibon.


On this year Idi-Ifa the Oracle speak good fortune for the town for the next year which made the people and the wives of the royal father's to dance with a joyous mood to the palace to meet the Ataoja of Osogbo where the Royal father is patently waiting for the arrival of his wives and the outcome of the process when the Royal father's heard the result of the oracle Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun (Larooye II) was very happy and start dancing with his wives and well wishers.


The next process is Iyere Ifa where the Ifa priests will be dances in the palace till the next morning which was done on Thursday night after the Idi-Ifa process and on Friday there will visitation of the traditionalist to the palace to celebrate with the Ifa priest.


While speaking to the newsmen, Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe, the Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market Osogbo, congratulates the Ataoja of Osogbo land His Imperial Majesty Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun (Larooye II) and wives for the successful outcome of this year Idi-Ifa Oba (Consulting Oracle for the Royal Father's) which is the one of the process before the Osun Osogbo Festival, he thanks Almighty for the successful out of the process, he commend the Ataoja of Osogbo for his commitment and dedication towards the progress and development of Osogbo land and he prayed for long life with good health for the Royal father's to take the town to a greater height in no distant time.
