The newly appointed Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele has assumed office as the new Corps Commander of Osun State Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps at the State Headquarters, he appreciates the Governor of Osun State Asiwaju Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke for count him worthy for the position.

Omoyele assumed duty as the 2nd Corps Commander of the State Security on Friday, after receiving a salute at the state headquarters, where he was also welcomed by the operatives and career officers of the command.

Following his arrival, the new Corps Commander would be succeeding Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi, bowed out of service recently, after having committed 4 years to the service.

The new Corps Commander seeks the support and cooperation of the general public in combating crime in the state and is also committed to implementing proactive strategies to ensure adequate safety of lives and property in the state.

 According to him, " I want to thank His Excellency Asiwaju Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke for the appointment, to me is not a luxury but a call to service because I know what is entails is not an that is a juicy one so if you are in this type of appointment you have to buckle your belt so i can not do it alone, security is not for one person and what I learn about security I will exploit it, i served

in police for 35 years meritoriously and i retired, i worked in several department and I will introduce department into Amotekun, have worked in, SCID which is Intelligent, Admin, Homicide, Investigative section i spent  many years there, i was combatant, I spent many years in State SARS and Federal SARS, when SWAT was created I was the Commander, that is to tell you that I have a lot of things to exploit and impact those who want to work with me and have been conversant with this Amotekun and in one way or the other have go into achieveeeeee have seen they have a lot of issues and problems, so must of the complaint has been brought to me as Special Adviser for Internal Security to the governor which i always iron out and now that am in the system I know where to start, i know where to go and i know what to do that's it. 

"The discipline is the bedrock, I will inculcate discipline in the personnel as I assumed as the Corps Commander, they don't have enough of training, I will introduce training to locally and internationally to them, so if you have what to do and know what to do it's better than asking questions so training will make them know what they want to do and we are in civil society now they must be civil will lecture on how they will be civil with people, because you a uniform personnel you must not override people, when people heard about my appointment as Amotekun Corps Commander they were passing encomium, described my appointment as a round peg in a round hole, that my appointment Is a right one, people has greeting me and my has gone off, since morning have been receiving calls and i can't off it it shows people appreciate my appointment, unity, sincerety, honesty, straightforwardness, and Uprightness will be here, that's what i want to introduce, and they will learnt a lot from my worth of experience, and i thank the Excellency that the person he appointed as the Board Chairman of Amotekun DIG Abbas is a man of honour he has work across the country, i know i have a father and i have someone i can go to when i have difficulties, he listening and he is someone that accommodate, i know within this department Amotekun Osun will go far.

"The residents should be rest assured of maximum security of lives and property, the people of Osun were happy about my appointment, some are saying they can sleep with their two eyes closed, open their house windows and they can get home late at night because Omoyele will trust you. What I pray to my God since I came to serve is that I know the perennial problems and I know how to tackle them, I will still increase my mentor and energy more than I have done before. I'm assuring the people of Osun that the peaceful atmosphere that exists here will continue to exist and they continue more security and infrastructure than before". Omoyele asserted
