The Brave Women Progressives Association has announced its plans to distribute essential food items to the less privileged residents of Sabo, Ile-Ife, Osun State, in a bid to alleviate the struggles of families during the festive season. The initiative aims to support homes that may be struggling to provide for their loved ones during the yuletide period.
This generous distribution was revealed today by the President of the Association, Evangelist Matilda Farinde, during an address to journalists in Osogbo. Farinde emphasized that the association is committed to distributing essential foodstuffs such as semolina, rice, garri, beans, clothes, and other necessary items to those in need. The distribution is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 21, 2024, in Sabo, Ile-Ife.
In her statement, Farinde appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to support the association's efforts, urging individuals and organizations to partner with them in making this charitable initiative a success. She noted that such partnerships will go a long way in ensuring that the less privileged in the community are able to celebrate the season with some relief and dignity.
“The holiday season should be a time of joy for every family, but many are facing hardship, making it difficult for them to provide for their loved ones. We are reaching out to the broader community to help us in this important mission of giving and bringing hope to those who need it most," Farinde stated.
