The Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (WOWICAN), Osun State Chapter, proudly honored Engr. Olalekan Abdulrahman Badmus FNSE, Executive Director of Marine and Operations at the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA), with the prestigious Award of Excellence during its 20th Annual Convention today.
Engr. Badmus, unable to attend the event in person, was represented by one of his aides, Hon. Tunde Adeleke, the former Secretary of Osogbo South LCDA, who graciously accepted the award on behalf of the esteemed NPA Executive Director.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairperson of WOWICAN, SP. M/I/I (Prof.) Dudusola S.O, expressed that the award was presented to Engr. Badmus in recognition of his unwavering dedication, commitment, and outstanding contributions to the growth and development of both the Osun State WOWICAN and the larger Christian community. His continued support and impactful achievements were highlighted as key factors in receiving this honor.
In his acceptance remarks, Engr. Badmus, through his representative, extended heartfelt gratitude to WOWICAN for the honor. He expressed deep appreciation for the recognition and reiterated his belief in promoting unity, regardless of religious affiliations.
Engr. Badmus emphasized that the award would serve as a motivation for him to continue serving society with dedication and commitment, reinforcing the values of compassion, inclusivity, and service to humanity.
