Abeere is Vacant: 2026 Will End PDP’s Era of Misrule in Osun ~ APC Chair ....Youths Rally Against Incompetence as Ife East and Central LGAs Host 2025 Youth Carnival

In a bold and emphatic declaration during the 2025 APC Youth Carnival hosted by Ife East and Ife Central Local Governments, the Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, proclaimed that "Abeere is vacant, and 2026 will mark the end of bad governance in Osun State."

Represented by the State APC Youth Leader, Comrade Goke Akinwemimo, the Chairman criticized the lacklustre administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, describing his government as a period of stagnation, incompetence, and missed opportunities for the people of Osun State.

“Under the current PDP-led administration, Osun has suffered a downturn in governance. What we see today is a government driven by theatrics rather than tangible progress. Osun youths deserve better opportunities, quality education, sustainable employment, and transparent leadership—not empty rhetoric and unfulfilled promises,” Comrade Akinwemimo stated, echoing the Chairman's message.

The 2025 Youth Carnival brought together thousands of vibrant young people who were not only celebrating the New Year but also signalling their readiness to usher in a new era of competent and people-focused leadership. Addressing the crowd, Akinwemimo urged the youths to take their rightful place as agents of change, emphasizing their critical role in ending the "misrule" of the Adeleke administration.

“This gathering is more than a celebration. It is a rallying point for our youth to reject mediocrity and embrace a future of accountability, development, and hope. The APC is ready to provide Osun State with the leadership it desperately needs,” he declared.

The carnival featured cultural performances, motivational speeches, and a clear call to action for Osun youths to mobilize and participate actively in the democratic process. It served as a platform to strengthen unity among the progressives and chart a path toward reclaiming governance in 2026.

The statement, “Abeere is vacant,” symbolizes the APC’s readiness to retake the helm of governance and restore dignity to the state’s leadership. Sooko Tajudeen Lawal’s vision prioritizes robust economic development, effective youth engagement, and infrastructural advancement—areas that have been neglected under the current administration.

The 2025 Youth Carnival concluded with a resounding commitment from the attendees to support the APC in its mission to deliver good governance and sustainable development.

The message was clear: the time for change is now, and the youths of Osun are ready to end the cycle of bad governance in 2026.
