The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has extolled an elder statesman, seasoned and astute politician, Chief Shuaibu Oyedokun on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
The Nigeria's ruling party described the political juggernaut as a refined politician of no equal means and an epitome of progressivism, progressive tenet and democratic principles.
The APC State Chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement signed and issued by the Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, espoused the immense contributions of the elder statesman to sociopolitical and economic emancipations and regional integration, growth and development.
Lawal acknowledged words of wisdom often provided the quintessential party- man saying he is indeed a formidable frontiersman from which many are attached.
"On a joyous occasion like this, we can not but acknowledge the unquantifiable role of our father, political icon par excellence and one of the national figures of our beloved party - Chief Shuaibu Afolabi Ogundokun towards engendering peace, fostering unity, maintaining and sustaining sense of brotherliness within and outside the party's internal organs and external structures.
"We are proud today to identify with our father and a strong pillar of our party whose wealth of experience has been a reference point to young and upcoming politicians craving to assume leadership positions.
"Unequivocally, Chief Oyedokun has distinguished himself as a thoroughbred professional, successful politician and administrator par excellence and these can be easily attested to and measured by his stella performance and excellent inward and outward dispositions.
"Baba is indeed a politician with a difference who has remained a strong pillar of wisdom, support, integrity, and dedication to progressive ideals. Chief Oyedokun's invaluable contributions to the growth of democracy, democratic ideals and progressive ideology and principles are clear indicator to what Baba stands for.
"As a rare breed, Chief Ogundokun's unshaken commitment to good governance and party unity has left no one in doubt and registered indelibly in the minds of humanity.
"On this remarkable day, we pray Almighty Allah grants you more years to celebrate, in good health, wisdom, and fulfilled heart to continue to serve Him and humanity", the statement added.
