The Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Osun chapter, has inaugurated its newly elected executives during their first meeting at the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs on Tuesday.
Hon. Sharafadeen Awotunde, Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, was appointed as the Chairman, while Hon. Lukman Afolabi of Ede South Local Government emerged as the Secretary.

Hon. Yomi Aina: House of Assembly Liaison Officer
Hon. Taiwo Adeyekun: Auditor
Hon. Aluko Oladiti: Legal Adviser
Hon. Adeniran Felicia: Director of Social and Welfare
Hon. Obafemi Kolade: Organising Secretary
Hon. Ajibola Dada: Public Relations Officer (PRO)

In his speech, Chairman Awotunde expressed his gratitude to the association members for electing him to lead and thanked the public for supporting the PDP candidates during the local government elections. He also acknowledged the peace efforts of the Osun State Government under the leadership of Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke and PDP State Chairman Hon. Sunday Bisi.
Awotunde pledged the commitment of all local government chairmen to support the developmental initiatives of the state governor throughout their tenure. He concluded by wishing success to all members and invoking blessings for everyone.
