Major stakeholders and leaders of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) in Ife East Area Office, Modakeke, Osun State have reaffirmed their support for the immediate past Governor of Osun State who is the incumbent Minister for Marine and Blue Economy, HE Adegboyega Oyetola, CON.
The stakeholders in a press statement stated that Oyetola remains their preferred candidate for the 2026 Governorship elections, emphasizing that the honourable minister holds the right of first refusal in regards to the party's Guber ticket.
The leaders stated that Oyetola being the leader of the party would decide the direction that the party would go in 2026 and should he decide not to contest the governorship elections, Modakeke APC is ever ready to support, mobilize and canvass votes for any preferred candidate of the Minister.
The leaders who claimed their reasons for this are as a result of their firm believe in the charismatic leadership and accurate sense of judgement of the honourable minister, argued that Oyetola remains the best hand to lead and rescue Osun from the hands of the incumbent mediocre government.
The stakeholders emphasized that Modakeke APC stands firmly behind the former governor while they trust in his capacity to rescue Osun from the misrule of the present government which have crippled development of the state since November 27th, 2022.
The stakeholders stated emphatically that the APC in Modakeke shall stand with Oyetola and party supremacy as regards 2026 gubernatorial candidate.
The leaders expressed gratitude to the honourable minister for providing leadership, guidance, moral and financial support to the party at all times, acknowledging the minister as the backbone of the party and the reason the party still stands formidable in the state.
