Happy Posthumous Birthday, Daddy.

 

Today, March 10th, marks the birth of an extraordinary man, Engr. Dipo Omotayo. Though you're no longer with us, your legacy lives on, and we continue to celebrate your life and impact.

We had planned to celebrate your 80th birthday, but fate had other plans. You left us at the age of 78, but your memory remains vivid. Whether in life or death, I'll always cherish and honour you.

I remember your unwavering support during my wedding in 2013 and at every naming ceremony of my children. Your presence was a constant source of joy and comfort.

Your legacy speaks volumes about the kind of person you were. Though we can't see you physically, we continue to benefit from your goodwill and enduring legacy.

In 2020, when Pa Sen. Ayo Fasanmi passed away, and you reassured me that you see me when you come  home for Christmas, that i should relax. Little did I know that you would also depart that same year.

My dear sister, Lola Omotayo Okeye, has taken up the mantle of preserving your legacy, and I'm grateful for her dedication.

Rest in perfect peace, dear Daddy. May your soul continue to soar, and may we meet again where we'll part no more.
