OSUCCIMA, OSIPA Forge Strategic Alliance to Boost Investment and SME Growth in Osun. ....As Dr. Gbolade Famoriyo Leads OSUCCIMA Delegation to Osun State Ministry of Commerce and Industry : A Stronger Synergy for Economic Advancement

In a move aimed at bolstering economic development and creating a more conducive business environment in Osun State, the President of the Osun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OSUCCIMA), Dr. Gbolade Famoriyo, led a high-powered delegation on a courtesy visit to the Osun State Investment Promotion Agency (OSIPA) on Monday, June 2, 2025.

The visit marked a strategic engagement between two key economic institutions in the state, with discussions focused on deepening collaboration to attract local and foreign investment, promote the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and enhance the ease of doing business in Osun State.

Dr. Famoriyo, in his opening remarks, commended the CEO of OSIPA for the commendable work being done to position Osun State as an investment-friendly destination. He highlighted several critical areas where OSUCCIMA seeks to collaborate with OSIPA, including:

Enhancing the ease of doing business within the state.

Driving SME development through access to finance, training, and infrastructure.

Encouraging local investment and fostering entrepreneurial growth.

Attracting and facilitating partnerships with foreign investors to boost the state’s economy.

"The Chamber is committed to working closely with OSIPA to strengthen the investment ecosystem of Osun State," Dr. Famoriyo noted.

 "We believe that through this partnership, we can unlock greater opportunities for our entrepreneurs and create jobs for our youth."

Special Adviser/CEO Osun State Investment Promotion Agency (OSIPA) expressed appreciation for the visit and affirmed the agency’s commitment to collaborative efforts with OSUCCIMA. He acknowledged the pivotal role of the Chamber in representing the voice of the business community and pledged full support for their shared objectives.

The CEO also announced OSIPA’s official participation in the upcoming Osun 2025 Trade Fair, scheduled for November 2025, affirming it as a platform to showcase the state’s economic potential and attract both local and international investors.

In a renewed bid to strengthen public-private sector collaboration, the newly inaugurated President of the Osun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OSUCCIMA), Dr. Gbolade Famoriyo, led a high-level delegation on a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, under the leadership of Honourable Commissioner Rev. Bunmi Jenyo.

During the visit, Dr. Famoriyo expressed his profound appreciation to the Ministry for its sustained partnership with OSUCCIMA, particularly in ensuring the consistent success of the annual Osun State Trade Fair. He further lauded the State Governor, Senator Asiwaju Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, for his proactive support, especially in approving a five-hectare parcel of land for the establishment of a world-class Osun Trade Fair Complex.

“This visit is both symbolic and strategic,” Dr. Famoriyo stated. 

“It is an opportunity to introduce the new executive of OSUCCIMA to the Ministry and reaffirm our commitment to deepening the collaboration that has yielded tangible results for Osun’s economy.”

He urged the Ministry and the State Government to continue enhancing their support for OSUCCIMA-led initiatives, promising that the organized private sector would remain a strong pillar in driving the State’s economic transformation.

“We assure the government of our unflinching support in policies and projects that stimulate trade, boost entrepreneurship, and create jobs for our people,” Dr. Famoriyo emphasized.

In his response, Hon. Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, warmly welcomed Dr. Famoriyo and his entourage, congratulating him on his emergence as President of the Chamber. 

He pledged the Ministry’s ongoing support and reiterated the government’s dedication to the timely contributions to the development of the Trade Fair Complex, as well as improvements in infrastructure that will enhance commercial activities across the State.

“The Adeleke-led administration remains committed to fostering a vibrant business environment. We will ensure the infrastructure leading to the new trade fair complex takes off smoothly and becomes a hub for regional and national trade,” the Commissioner assured.
