Alubarika Movement Harmonizes Pro-SRJ Groups Across Osun
The Alubarika Movement in Osun State has convoked a harmonization meeting that brought together support groups working independently for Senator Ajibola Basiru ahead of 2026. The meeting which took place in Osogbo was a strategic alignment of voices, structures, and grassroots influencers with one clear purpose: to build a stronger, united front for the SRJ agenda.
Chairman of the Movement,Alhaji Kehinde Olamolu,addressing group leaders and local government coordinators in attendance, emphasized that unity is the most powerful political tool in grassroots engagement. He acknowledged the efforts of all the pro-SRJ bodies that have been tirelessly canvassing across the state,and reassured them that the Alubarika Movement is a platform of inclusion, recognition, and direction.
"I welcome all of you to this all important meeting. Its purpose is to bring together,on a platform,different groups and movements working towards actualising our Principal's target. And what is the target? Becoming the Governor of Osun State next year."
"We must all see each other as one big broom ready to sweep APC to power in Osun State through Senator Ajibola Basiru. We must not be seen as working at cross purposes. We have a single objective,no dissenting voice. We are one."
The Alubarika Movement absorbed several political groups from across Osun State into its structure, creating a seamless integration of support for Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru PhD.
The meeting gave birth to developing a centralized supporters’ database, comprising details of every coordinator and active supporter across wards and local governments. This structure, according to the Chairman, will serve as a tool for effective mobilization, real-time communication and campaign readiness.
Other speakers including Hon Akintunde Adegboye and Hon Waheed Adediran used the moment to appeal to members to brace up for the forthcoming INEC voter registration exercise,urging all group leaders to return to their bases to mobilize members especially among youths and first-time voters. They reiterated that registration of Alubarika Movement members will be done in earnest.
Present at the event were other key members of the Alubarika Movement’s management team, including Hon Adeoye Adelakun, Hon Fatima Rafiu Olaide, Hon Maruf Olanrewaju, Hon Alagbada, and Hon Folarin Fafowora.
