AMBO Grassrooters Takes Support For Oyebamiji To Ede North LGA, Decries Adeleke's Reckless Handling Of Osun Treasury


In continuation of their consultation tour to mobilize support for the governorship aspirations of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, the AMBO Grassrooters today took their sensitization and mobilization to Ede North LGA where they were received amidst funfair and encomium by the enthusiastic APC faithfuls and leaders.


Led by the State Coordinator, Elder Deji Agboola, a former Chairman of Ede South LGA, the group decried financial recklessness and policies summersaults of the incumbent governor noting that their support for Oyebamiji stems from their  conviction that the leading aspirant considering his financial expertise, administrative intelligence and monetary experiences that would be needed revive Osun State dwindling economy and reposition the State for greatness, financial re-engineering, stability,prosperity and economic renaissance.


Recall that the group had previously visited Ede South, Boripe, Irewole, Isokan, Irepodun, Orolu, Egbedore, Ilesa East, Atakumosa East, Ilesa West, Atakumosa West, Iwo, Olorunda, Ila,Ejigbo and Ife North canvassing support for the Ikire-Born seasoned banker and astute administrator.The group noted that Oyebamiji's unalloyed loyalty to the party, unblemished records as a public servant positions him as the suitable and best candidate for the APC. They added that Oyebamiji's candidacy would create an easy path for the APC to reclaim Osun.


In his introductory remarks, Hon. Oloyede Adekunle stated that the group is in Ede North to seek the support of leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress for the governorship aspirations of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, a former commissioner for finance in Osun and the present Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA. He noted that haven worked with two former progressive governors in Osun State, bringing to the fore his financial expertise and professionalism in turning round the fortunes of OSICOL where he served as Managing Director and later on as a two term commissioner for finance, ensuring the economic and financial stability of the State.


Hon. Omoyele Alabi, former Commissioner, TESCOM, praised the team for taking up the task of grassroot mobilization for the candidacy of AMBO.He noted that the success of the party at the governorship election solely lies in the party's grassroot base, acceptance, unity and the need to maintain an inclusive campaigns among leadership and relevant stakeholders of the Party.


In the same vein,Dr.Muftau Oyewole expressed his delight in receiving the the group. He praised Oyebamiji for maintaining a cordial relationship with the leadership of the party at all levels adding that Oyebamiji is a man of the people whose exemplary leadership and character has been praised by many.He appealed despite of hooliganism,carnage and wanton destruction of lives and property,APC members remained endangered species, hence the need to be responsive and responsible in the areas of welfare programs and appointments sharing and distribution should be adequately taken care and protected.


Dr. Tiamiyu Bello, former Chairman Ede North Local Government and Hon Shina Alabi, Chairman APC, Ede North, in their separate remarks tasked the group to ensure a rancour free campaigns as the unity of the party comes first.Dr.Tiamiyu Bello re-echoed progressive bond, internal democracy and cohesion among party members.The leadership of APC  of Ede North Local Government urged members to disuade and ignore the issue of positions and appointments sharing & distribution even when the candidate is yet to be anointed candidate of the party.


Hon.Sina Lawal  reiterated the bond of togetherness and commonalities that is existing among decades among the progressive family is incontrovertible especially where members stood firmly for the Progressive ideology amidst all forms of political shenanigans,rascality brigandage orchestrated by the Gov.Adeleke led Government. Hon. Lawal admonished unwavering support, loyalty and commitment demonstrated by APC members in Ede Local Governments and its environs, hence pledged quality votes from Ede land and advised that APC faithfuls should not be seen as betrayal of trust and loyalty while Ede Progressives should not be left out in the scheme of appointments and allocation of juicy portfolios.


Hon.Sikiru Babson exemplified the leadership strength and qualities of Gov.Gboyega Oyetola.He maintained that APC members especially in Ede land where leaders usually face all forms of attacks and security challenges.He pleaded that  appointments should be approved by the leadership of the party at the grassroots.


The leaders passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of HE Adegboyega Oyetola CON, they noted that Oyetola's ingenuity, support and charismatic leadership have held the party till date cannot be overemphasized as  one of the credible and dependable leader of the Party considering his huge intellectual sagacity and investment exemplified over the years. 


Hon. Olayanju Kolapo urges the leaders to disregard the handiwork of evil machinations and rumours going round that AMBO has distributed elective positions and appointments amongst his allies, reiterating that the rumours are the figment of the imagination of its meddlesome interlopers.


Hon.Olagunju reaffirmed Oyebamiji's firm loyalty to the party structures, internal democracy and her supremacy stating that every actions of AMBO would stem from Bola Oyebamiji humane decisions that will reposition All Progressives Congress for landslide electoral victories at all levels.


The Chairman, Ede North LGA, Hon. Elliot Adeyemi extolled the leadership qualities of Oyebamiji citing his successes at Osicol, Osun ministry of finance and now Niwa. He added that Oyebamiji is a God fearing politician who would ensure the economic reengineering of the state just as he would enhance the reward mechanism of the party in Osun.


Hon. Ayegbayo on his part charged the newly inaugurated ward and unit coordinators to take up the task of door-to-door mobilization for the actualization of Oyebamiji's guber ambition. He added that Oyebamiji is a deeply committed party chieftain, a seasoned financial expert, welfarist and humanist who would prioritize the welfare of Osun citizens just as he would ensure that members of the APC are adequately rewarded for the loyalty and steadfastness.


The group's Director of Media and Publicity,Hon. Wasiu Ayodele Adepoju inaugurated Units and Ward Coordinators respectively while charging Coordinators to shun any form of campaign that would polarize the party cohesion and internal democracy as the group's primary agenda is to foster peace within the party and ensure that Oyebamiji emerges as the APC flagbearer for the  Saturday August 8th, 2026 governorship elections.
