Osun Amotekun Commander, Omoyele, Honoured with Prestigious Award of Excellence

In a vibrant celebration of faith, music, and service, the Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, was on Sunday bestowed with the prestigious Award of Excellence for his outstanding contributions to the entertainment and security sectors in Osun State.

The award presentation took place during the well-attended Gbagede Iyin 2025 programme at Osogbo Grammar School Hall, Osogbo, hosted by Apostle Segun Peters.

The event, which brought together top gospel artistes and well-wishers, served both as a spiritual gathering and a celebration of the host's birthday, offering a platform to recognize key figures who have significantly impacted their communities.

Chief Dr. Omoyele was celebrated not only as a security expert but also as a man of the people a visionary leader known for his unwavering commitment to the wellbeing and progress of those around him. Speakers at the event described him as accommodating, selfless, and passionate about the growth of the entertainment industry, especially as it pertains to youth empowerment and creative development in Osun State.

Since his assumption of office as Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Chief Dr. Omoyele has led several initiatives that have strengthened the security architecture of the state. His tenure has been marked by strategic reforms, community engagement, and a notable improvement in the safety of lives and property across the region.

In his acceptance speech, Chief Dr. Omoyele expressed profound gratitude to the organisers of the award and reaffirmed his dedication to public service.

"I am deeply honoured to receive this Award of Excellence," he said. "This recognition is a reminder that we are seen and appreciated, but more importantly, it challenges me to do more. I will continue to support the entertainment industry, promote community wellbeing, and do everything within my capacity to ensure Osun remains safe and vibrant for all."

He further noted that his lifestyle of compassion, inclusivity, and support for others has always been part of his identity, and he intends to uphold those values in every facet of his life.

The ceremony ended with prayers, music, and a resounding ovation for the award recipients, marking yet another milestone in the legacy of Chief Dr. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele a trailblazer in both security and community development.
