The Emir of Zuru, His Royal Highness Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Sani Sami (Gomo II), has died. He passed away in the early hours of Sunday, August 17, 2025, at approximately 4:15 a.m. in London at 84 years, where he had been receiving medical treatment.
In a heartfelt tribute, Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah described the late Emir as a revered and noble leader who served Zuru Emirate, Kebbi State, and Nigeria with unwavering dedication.
Through a condolence message released by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Muhammad Danjarida, the Senator prayed for Allah’s mercy on the departed monarch, asking for eternal rest and strength for the bereaved family and the people of Zuru Emirate.
“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. May Allah forgive the Emir of Zuru and grant him Aljannah as his final abode,” Na’Allah stated.
