The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared a significant win in the recently concluded bye-elections in Kaduna State, claiming victory in two out of the three contested seats for the State and National Assemblies.
The announcement was made via the ADC Vanguard, the party's coalition mobilisation arm, in a brief statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday.
According to reports from DAILY POST, the bye-elections were held in the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Zaria Kewaye State Constituency, and Basawa State Constituency.
Reacting to the outcomes, ADC Vanguard wrote:
"ADC Coalition dominates Kaduna State, securing 2 out of 3 constituencies in a stunning victory."
However, the official results from the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission are still pending.
Meanwhile, in a political twist, Ayekooto Akindele, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), took a jab at former Governor Nasir El-Rufai. He claimed that the emerging results reflect a strong rejection of El-Rufai's influence in the state.
“Unfortunately for him, Kaduna people said loudly today that Uba Sani is their leader,” Akindele stated.
