Ogun Police Arrest Motorcyclist Found with Three Human Skulls


The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended a motorcyclist, Kadir Owolabi, for allegedly being in possession of three human skulls.

In a statement released on Tuesday in Abeokuta, the Command’s spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest. According to her, the discovery was made during a routine stop-and-search operation carried out by officers of the 71 Police Mobile Force (PMF), Awa Ijebu.

The operation took place around 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Refugees Camp Junction along the Ijebu Ode–Ibadan Expressway. During the search of Owolabi’s luggage, officers reportedly uncovered three human skulls.

Following the initial arrest, a subsequent investigation led to the detention of a second suspect, 53-year-old Jamiu Yisa, who was apprehended near the Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat.

Odutola stated that the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to take over the case for a thorough and discreet investigation.

Reaffirming the command’s commitment to combating criminal activities, the spokesperson called on residents to support law enforcement efforts, assuring the public of confidentiality and protection of identity.
