Former Commissioner for Public Complaints Commission (PCC), Comrade Eziekel Musa Dalhatu, has asked wealthy people to avoid extending help to others people when they are down.
Dalhatu stated this at the funeral service of the late social activist/ critic Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf, held at ECWA Church Kpaduma 1, Asokoro district of Abuja, on Thursday.
He described such attitude as “wicked culture”, stating that God appreciates it more when those who are blessed with wealth give their support the needy and downtrodden.

“The culture that until somebody dies, then we will bring out all the money to support the funeral of such person is a wicked culture. Somebody needs money, somebody needs what will support him, we have it but we will not do it, until such person dies, that is a wicked culture. And may God deliver us from that,”he said.
He described late activist as a committed man who had stood for emancipation of the natives of the FCT, while praying God grant his soul eternal rest in paradise.
Dalhatu, who is also pioneer leader of the Coalition of Abuja Indigenous Association, an umbrella body of the indigenous people of the FCT, solicited for the support from wealthy individuals and philanthropist to support the family of the deceased who left two children and a wife behind.
He said the deceased wife who is still remained unemployed, holds a Bachelor degree in French, saying “even last week we went to somewhere with her to seek for job, which up till now, she is yet to get a job.”
Also speaking at the funeral, chairman of AMAC, Hon Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, described late activist Yusuf as a brave young man, saying the deceased was always committed to duties assigned to him as is special assistant on community development.
He recalled how the deceased led several protest especially on issues affecting both natives and residents of the FCT, while praying for his soul to rest in peace.
