Iludun Community Celebrates Ataoja of Osogbo on 15th Coronation Anniversary


The Baale and the entire residents of Iludun Community, Osogbo, have extended their heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Abidemi Oyetunji Olanipekun, Larooye II, the Ataoja of Osogbo, on the occasion of his 15th coronation anniversary.


In a message issued shortly after the conclusion of the anniversary celebrations, the Baale described the monarch’s 15-year reign as a period of rapid and unprecedented transformation for the ancient city of Osogbo.


According to the statement, Oba Oyetunji’s leadership has brought significant progress in various aspects of the city’s development, including infrastructure, economic growth, political stability, social life, and enhanced security. “The last fifteen years have witnessed fast development in the history of this ancient city,” the message read. “Osogbo has been tremendously transformed under your reign.”


The Baale further praised the intellectual depth and visionary leadership of the monarch, which he said have played a critical role in the city’s advancement. “Kabiyesi, your intellectual capability has brought about achievements that stand as benchmarks even for neighbouring towns and villages,” he added.


Describing the monarch as “articulate, vibrant, and endowed with uncommon administrative acumen,” the Iludun community expressed pride in being associated with such a distinguished traditional ruler. Fondly referred to as "Onini to ni Ilu Aro", His Royal Majesty was lauded for setting a high standard in royal leadership and community development.


The community prayed for many more years of peaceful and prosperous reign, expressing confidence that the city would continue to enjoy peace, growth, and progress under his leadership.
