Governor Ododo Converts Vigilantes Into Civil Servants In Kogi

The Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, has officially absorbed all community vigilantes into the state civil service structure.

The move marks a major shift in Kogi’s security strategy, transforming formerly informal local security groups into regulated government personnel.

Governor Ododo said the decision aims to professionalize grassroots intelligence networks, strengthen accountability, and improve coordination between local security outfits and formal state agencies.

The newly absorbed personnel are expected to undergo further training and will now operate under established government security protocols.
