In a decisive move to consolidate grassroots support ahead of the forthcoming Osun State governorship election, a leading House of Representatives aspirant for Osogbo, Olorunda, Irepodun, and Orolu Federal Constituency, Dr. Abdulrasheed Muideen Aderemi Romeo, has inaugurated 114 ward coordinators for the AMBO/Romeo political movement in Olorunda Local Government.
The inauguration, which drew party loyalists, community leaders, and key stakeholders from across the local government, marked a significant step in Romeo’s strategic mobilization efforts aimed at delivering electoral victory for his party at both the state and federal levels.
Speaking at the event, Romeo described the ward coordinators as “the engine room of any successful political structure,” emphasizing that their role would be critical in driving voter engagement, grassroots sensitization, and effective coordination of campaign activities across all wards.
“This inauguration is not just a formality; it is a call to action. Each coordinator here today represents the heartbeat of our movement at the grassroots. You are the bridge between the people and the leadership, and your commitment will determine the success of our collective aspiration,” he stated.
The AMBO/Romeo movement, widely regarded as a growing political force within the constituency, has continued to expand its reach through structured engagement and community-based initiatives. The newly inaugurated coordinators are expected to spearhead door-to-door campaigns, mobilize voters, and ensure sustained interaction with constituents in their respective wards.
In addition to the ward coordinators, Romeo also unveiled strategic teams tasked with overseeing specialized aspects of the campaign, including youth mobilization, women engagement, media coordination as well as other strategic teams that would ensure and enhance victory for the APC in the forthcoming elections.
