The Former Member of the House of Assembly representing Osogbo State Constituency and All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the 2027 Osogbo Constituency election, Hon. Engr. Badamasi Olatunde Taofeek Abolubode, has officially withdrawn from the race.
The decision was conveyed in a formal withdrawal letter made available to our correspondent in the early hours of today, at about 2:00 a.m.
According to the statement, Hon. Abolubode expressed profound appreciation to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo Constituency, party stakeholders, loyal supporters, political associates, and members of the party for their unwavering support, encouragement, and solidarity throughout his consultation and aspiration process.
The former lawmaker noted that his decision was reached after careful reflection and wide consultations with political leaders, associates, family members, and loyal supporters across the constituency. He emphasized that his withdrawal should not be interpreted as a retreat from active political participation or commitment to the growth and development of Osogbo Constituency and the APC family.
Hon. Abolubode further reaffirmed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress and pledged continuous support for the party’s progress, unity, and success ahead of future political engagements.
He also used the opportunity to call on his supporters and members of the party to remain peaceful, united, and committed to the collective interest of the APC, stressing that party cohesion and the overall development of Osogbo Constituency must remain paramount above individual ambitions.
