The Convener of the Aseyori Progressive Forum (APF) and Special Adviser to the Chairman of Egbedore Local Government, Hon. Olusanjo Fajobi (Fajoe), has urged the people of Osun State to support the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, and his running mate, Aree Benjamin Kayode Adereti, in the forthcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
In a statement made available to the journalists in Osogbo, Hon. Fajobi described Oyebamiji as the ideal candidate to lead Osun State toward greater development and prosperity. He expressed confidence in the APC ticket, stating that Oyebamiji possesses the vision, competence, and leadership qualities needed to deliver meaningful progress for the state.
According to him, "The recent happenings in Osun State are quite unfortunate, deeply disheartening, and highly condemnable. Many of the actions and policies of the present administration have continued to generate concerns among well-meaning citizens across the state. One of such concerns is what many perceive as nepotism, alongside other practices that appear inconsistent with the principles of fairness, inclusiveness, accountability, and good governance.
The people of Osun State deserve a government that places competence, merit, transparency, and the welfare of the people above every other consideration. Governance should be driven by the collective interest of the people and not by favoritism or sectional interests. We cannot continue on a path that limits opportunities for deserving citizens and slows down the pace of development in our state.
As we approach another important political season, I wish to passionately appeal to the youths and good people of Osun State to support a leader who possesses the vision, experience, and capacity to deliver purposeful leadership and sustainable development.
That leader is Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO). I firmly believe that he has the competence, administrative experience, and commitment required to reposition Osun State for greater progress, economic growth, youth empowerment, and infrastructural development.
I therefore call on all concerned youths, party faithful, and well-meaning citizens of Osun State to come out in large numbers and support AMBO in the forthcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026."
Together, let us choose progress over stagnation, merit over favoritism, and development over excuses. Let us support a leader who knows the road and has the capacity to lead Osun State to greater heights.
