The immediate past Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment, Dr. Bode Olaonipekun, has extended warm birthday congratulations to three distinguished public servants and accomplished professionals Engr. Dr. Adegboyega Badmus, Executive Director, Marine and Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA); Engr. Remi Omowaiye, Executive Director, Federal Housing Authority (FHA); and Dr. Deji Akinola, Managing Director of the South West Development Commission—on the occasion of their birthdays.
In his congratulatory message, Dr. Olaonipekun described the celebrants as exceptional leaders whose dedication, professionalism and commitment to national development continue to inspire many across the country. He noted that each of them has distinguished himself through selfless service, visionary leadership and an unwavering commitment to excellence in their respective areas of responsibility.
According to Dr. Olaonipekun, Engr. Dr. Adegboyega Badmus has continued to demonstrate remarkable competence and innovation in strengthening Nigeria's maritime sector through his leadership as Executive Director of Marine and Operations at the Nigerian Ports Authority. He commended his contributions toward enhancing operational efficiency and advancing the nation's port infrastructure.
He also praised Engr. Remi Omowaiye for his steadfast commitment to public service and his invaluable contributions to housing development and urban renewal in Nigeria. Dr. Olaonipekun described Omowaiye as a focused administrator whose wealth of experience and passion for development have continued to positively impact the housing sector and the lives of many Nigerians.
Speaking on Dr. Deji Akinola, the former commissioner lauded his visionary leadership as Managing Director of the South West Development Commission, expressing confidence in his capacity to drive policies and programmes that will accelerate regional integration, economic growth and sustainable development across the South West.
Dr. Olaonipekun stated that the birthdays of these accomplished leaders provide an opportunity to celebrate lives dedicated to service, integrity and nation-building.
