NURTW Lagos Organising Secretary Toba Ajiboye Dies Following Reported Gun Attack


The Organising Secretary of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos State Council, Comrade Toba Ajiboye, has died following a reported attack by unidentified gunmen.

His death was confirmed by the Chairman of the NURTW Lagos State Council, Mustapha Adio Adekunle, popularly known as Sego, in a heartfelt tribute shared on his official Instagram page.
Mourning the late union official, Sego described Ajiboye as a loyal friend, dependable ally, and dedicated member of the union whose contributions would not be forgotten.

"The news of the sudden passing of Comrade Toba Ajiboye has left me deeply saddened and heartbroken. It is difficult to come to terms with the loss of such a loyal, dependable, and committed ally," Sego wrote.

According to him, Ajiboye played a key role in the affairs and development of the Lagos State Council, serving as a strong pillar of TeamSego and SegoNation through his commitment and unwavering support.

Sego extended his condolences to the deceased's family, friends, and members of the NURTW, praying for God to forgive Ajiboye's shortcomings, grant him eternal rest, and give those he left behind the strength to bear the loss.
He concluded his tribute by paying a final farewell to his late associate, saying his loyalty, friendship, and support would always be remembered.

Reports indicate that Ajiboye's death occurred days after he was allegedly attacked by unidentified gunmen. However, authorities have yet to officially confirm the circumstances surrounding the attack or his death. Investigations into the incident are expected to continue.
