Nollywood actress Oluwafunlayo Obafemi has opened up about an alleged incident involving her husband and popular actor Odunlade Adekola during the filming of a movie.
According to Feelrightnews TV in a video uploaded on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, Obafemi explained that she and the production team initially went to a location to shoot a movie but later had to change plans because the venue was not suitable for the scene they intended to film.
The actress said her house was located nearby, prompting her to suggest that the production team use the residence as an alternative location.
However, she admitted that she did not inform her husband that the house would be used for the filming. According to her, she assumed the production would have ended before her husband returned home, so she did not expect him to encounter the actors and crew at the residence.
Obafemi said the situation changed after one of her neighbours allegedly informed her husband about what was happening at the house.
According to the actress, her husband returned home angrily and confronted the people at the location.
She further alleged that he pulled out a gun and fired at a window during the confrontation.
Obafemi claimed that Odunlade Adekola was inside the house at the time and managed to escape through a fence.
“It was God that saved Odunlade Adekola as he escaped through the fence,” she said.
Recounting the incident, the actress explained that the filming had initially been planned at another location but circumstances forced the team to look for an alternative.
“One day we went to shoot a movie. When we arrived at the venue, the chair we wanted to use was not suitable for the work. My house was nearby so we decided to shoot there,” she recounted.
Obafemi said she deliberately chose not to inform her husband because she believed he would not return home while the filming was ongoing.
“I did not tell my husband because I knew he would not be back in time to watch the shooting but thought we would have finished before he returned,” she explained.
However, according to her account, a neighbour alerted him about the filming, leading to his unexpected return.
“But one of my neighbours told him and he came back angrily. He stormed into the house and shot at the window,” she alleged.
She maintained that Odunlade’s escape through the fence prevented what could have been a more serious incident.
