SOME OF WHAT WE NEED TO DO AS A YOUTH TO BRING THE DESIRED CHANGE (1)

Youth as the hope of any society have many hurdles to cross to live up to expectations because the future of the society lies on them.
The need revolution is expected from them as they are believed to be beneficiary of the outcome since the elders see themselves as going generation while the youths on the other hand are seeing as the incoming generation.
The youths need to study the tradition of their respective societies, their cultural background and values, the symbolic heritage being handover from one generation to another. Doing this alone will allow them to know the reasons for preserving them and the essence of their continuous existence.
Any society that lacks adequate knowledge about its culture is gradually heading to extinction. Having background knowledge about the earlier mentioned values will also avail the youths the opportunity to address some challenges as may be experienced from time to time. This in the same vein will enable them to know their limits within the society and their usefulness as well. Youth should make education their utmost priority, any form of it, formal, non formal and informal to meet up the challenges of their time without living on the believe of the going generation most of which are no longer relevant in the new world.
Youths should also learn to appreciate their own traditional resources. They should have it in mind that those resources are meant for them to transform into their numerous requirements and stop admonishing other people’s culture at the detriment of their own.
Youth should learn to work hand in hand with elders to acquire needed training to lead his own generation even better than theirs. Not only that, such training undergone should be used to bring out new ideas, initiate new but better policies and enforce on the people what is best for their time.
Youths should through their appearance, presentation, and performance convince the going generation of their readiness to take the lead. Using that to appeal to them to willingly pass the baton of leadership to them without rancour and discord.
