In his opening speech, the convener, Hon. Olalekan Badmus extolled Governor Gboyega Oyetola as a focused leader who enmeshes himself in ensuring better life for all and described him as one who's painstakingly steadfast to bring more democratic dividends to the populace.
"The Governor would continue to embark on more civil-oriented projects, while this present dispensation was lauded for being responsive to the yearnings of people of the state viz à viz prompt payment of salaries, rehabilitation of 335 Primary Health Centers, rehabilitation and construction of roads across the state, lighting up of major roads to ensure safer night movement and many others that are glaring to the public eyes", he said.
While appreciating and encouraging the members of Ileri-Oluwa groups, Badmus emphasized the need to spread the gospel of the good works of the Governor beyond the present pace and the necessity of party's unity.
He posited that, "It must also be added that the unity of the party is job of everyone and all hands must be on deck to ensure that none is guilty of fanning the ember of discord in the party, while we must also seize every given opportunity to promote the good governance of Governor Oyetola in our bid to making State of Osun greater"
While giving his remarks, Hon. Richard Tinubu, the Secretary General of the organization, enjoined the party leaders and members to exhibit unflinching support, unbridled loyalty and unwavering commitment to party in the state and to the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola so as to achieve more giant strides in the State of Osun.
In the same vein, Hon. Bosun Oyintiloye prophetically emphasized the essence of "time and predestination" as the most divine determinants of man's life. He said when he gave his remarks about the essence of the continual support for the Governor.
"God's time is the best and His plans for individuals are undoubtedly written to manifest at a destined period of time. However, party members are encouraged and beseeched to wait for their various time for the desired leadership roles to come; because predestination would surely come to fruition on all as God's will (Ileri Oluwa) at a particular given period of time", he said.
Furthermore, Oyintiloye vehemently encouraged the group to support the party structure so that collective goals can be attained soon.
In his submission, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government And Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Rasaq Adeosun commended the people of Osogbo for their commitment, cooperation and loyalty, to the immediate past Governor Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola's administration and he believed that would continue for the incumbent Oyetola's administration for the betterment of Osogbo people and the state at large.
Worthy of note is the remark by His Royal Highness, the Olufon of Ifon Orolu, Oba AbdulRauf Mogbagbeola who adorned the performance of the Governor so far and encouraged all the group's members to keep spreading the good works of Oyetola and by extension, canvassed for people's support for the Governor for the betterment of the entire polity.
Moreover, scores of other dignitaries present at the occasion charged the newly
inaugurated ward coordinators of the group to commence grassroots Mobilation and sentization about the policies, programmes and the achievements of Governor Oyetola adminstation in the last one year.
Present at the occasion are Hon. Temilade Olokungboye (T.S.O), Baba Wale Lasisi, Baba Esuleke (a.k.a D-BOY), Hon. Adegboyega Adelabu Aremo, Hon. Adeoye Adekunle, leaders and members of the party across Osun Central Senatorial Zone were among other important personalities at the event.
