The Commissioner for Commerce, Industries, Cooperatives and Empowerment, Dr. Bode Olaonipekun who visited the fire scene for first hand assessment on behalf of the Governor, seized the occasion to appeal to market men and women to take necessary precautions to safeguard future occurrence.
He said, although there was no human casualty in the fire incident but valuable goods were destroyed.
Dr. Olaonipekun reiterated the State Government's resolve to commence the rebuilding of the market soon as preliminary redesigning of the market has just been completed by the Ministry of Works and Transport of the State.
The Commissioner also commended the Fire Service Men for their efforts in bringing the fire disaster under control.
