Osun To Take Her Share Of The Motion Picture Revenue.

Osun hosted the Executive Director of the National Films and Videos Census Board today, when he visited  the a member of the Agency's Board, Prince Adebayo Adeleke, who doubles as the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters in the State of Osun.

While speaking, the Executive Director, Alh. Adedayo Thomas warned those in the business of pirating other people's creative work to desist or face the full wrath of the law. He further stated that his Agency will not tolerate the activities of criminals in Osun as the Anti - Piracy Chief destroyed seized pirated  videos and films worth millons of naira at Osogbo, the State capital.

Both the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters in the State joined their counterpart Prince Adeleke to pledge the Governor's support for every activities that will bring about a sustainable control of creative work piracy.

More importantly, issues bothering on all round benefits to the State were also discussed, amongst which are establishment of the Board in Osun, empowerment of upcoming artist and performers, development of the cinema Industry and revenue generation through the Census Board.

In attendance are Mr Richard Tinubu (Sec. General)Ileri Oluwa Campaign Organization, members of staff of the Censors Board in the South West, State of Osun Ministry of Local Government and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Cooperative and Empowerment.
