Olamiju, S.A Public Health Sympathises With Fortunate Bakery Over Fire Incident

The Special Adviser to State of Osun Governor on Public Health, Pharmacist Olasiji Olamiju on Friday, sympathised with the managements of Fortunate Bakery following a fire incident that affected part of their bakery.

Olamiju said he had come to sympathise with the bakery management and was happy that no life was lost to the fire.

"Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and the entire members of the State executive council regret this unfortunate situation and we will continue to support the state fire service, so that they can keep averting incidents like this,” he said.

The managing director of the bakery, Alhaji Adejumo Wasiu, who took the Special Adviser round the affected areas, said the inferno started at about 5pm, and was put off by men of the state and federal fire services following a distress call.

While praising the State government for the visit, Adejumo said: “I was surprised to receive a call from wife of the governor, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola on the fire incident that occurred because I didn’t know she was already aware.

“Seeing you (Dr. Olamiju) here today shows how valuable we are to the State government and portrays the fact that the government is not only passionate about collecting taxes, but more concerned about the progress of the companies where the taxes are collected.

He added that, the fire which affected some parts of the bakery, started from the oven heater, but no life and important equipments were lost.
