Osun to partner the Federal Incubation Centre on food processing.

Government of the State of Osun  under the leadership of Mr.Adegboyega Oyetola has disclosed its readiness to partner with Federal Incubation Centre in food processing.

The Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment, Dr. Bode Olaonipekun stated this in his office during a meeting with representatives of Federal Incubation Centre,Ile- Ife.

Dr.Olaonipekun, who identified packaging as panacea for acceptability of made in Nigeria products for export, advised small scale businesses in the State to improve on packaging of their products inorder to make their products attractive and acceptable to both local and international consumers. He further stressed that over 150 products of note ranging from food items, cosmetics, leather wears, building materials and petrochemical products proudly made in Osun would soon be uploaded on the Osun digital economy platform.

The Manager of the Centre, Mrs.Eunice Oladoyin said the activities of the centre includes: Incubation of small scale businesses and assistance in commercialisation of research and development ideas.

Mrs Oladoyin appreciated the Commissioner for the warm welcome and promised to work together with the State Government to improve the commercial activities in the state.

Present at the meeting were the Coordinating Director of the ministry, Mr.Olajide Fadugba,Director Commerce,Mrs.Ajibola Falode and members of the Federal Incubation Centre.
