JUST IN: Osun Govt reverses single uniform, merger of schools, six other polices in education sector

Osun State Government has announced the reversal of ten policies majorly introduced into the education system by the immediate past administration in the state.

The reversal was done after the consideration of the report of education review committee headed by an Erudite Professor, Olu Aina.

Announcing the adoption of policies during a press conference, the Commissioners for Information and Civic Education, Funke Egbemode, her colleague in the Ministry of Education, Oladoyin Bamisayemi and The Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Jamiu Olawumi said the reversal were necessary to accommodate people’s yearnings.

Top of the ten policies announced were the abolition of single uniform and merger of schools

They added that schools will also revert to their original names and school uniforms.

The government also said schools established for single sex, which have been accommodating other sex would be reversed to the sex they were established for, while those who have graduated will be issued attestation letter by the ministry of education to avoid future challenges.
