The State of Osun Prayer Warriors Chairman and Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market, Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe, has faulted the attack on the convoy of the Osun State governor Alh. Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola in total terms, describing the incident as indecent, barbaric and inhuman, saying attacking the governor will not solve the problem of the endsars saga, he said we are all on the same page on the issues of Endsars including the governor, for the fact that the governor used the Endsars cap indicated his support for the protest.
This assertion is contained in a statement issued by the State Chairman of the group and made available to the newsmen on Sunday in Osogbo, the state capital.
The governor as a true democrat and People's governor, walked down with EndSars customized face cap on him, and joined the teeming protesters in protest. Having addressed them, the violence broke out and the sponsored hoodlums and miscreants among them started their attack by throwing stones, shooting sparodically, using cutlasses and other dangerous weapons to the extent that almost all official vehicles conveying the governor and all his entourage were seriously vandalized.
He stressed that osun state belong to everyone of us, that thuggery will not help us in anyway, he admonished the citizens of the state to rally round the governor in salvaging the state from the financial crisis, He lamented that the governor is trying his best. we can only achieve our goals in peaceful and conducive atmosphere and we must exclude prayer in everything will are doing because prayer is the key, he said the Governor and his executives are believers of prayer and the Royal father's in the state. He urged residents of the state to be law abiding and pray for betterment of Nigeria not violence.
The Chairman therefore called on Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu as well as Director of State Security (DSS) to investigate the pre-arranged assassination attempt on the life of Governor Gboyega Oyetola and his convoy and ensure that all perpetrators of the attack and their sponsors were brought to book in no distant time.
"What an ungrateful people are these? Some other governors have come out in solidarity with the protesters and nothing untoward was done to them, why would it have happened differently in Osun state?."
"The saboteurs of this government efforts must be fished out and brought to book.
Enemies within that is collaborating with the outside ones in our lives will see the wrath of God." The Chairman concluded.
