The Osogbo National Students Union (ONSU) Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Chapter on Saturday 27th of February, 2020, bestowed an award of excellence to some indegines of Osogbo who has contributed to the development and progress of Osogbo.
The award was given to awardees during the celebration of their annual oroki day celebration yesterday.
In his speech, the outgoing President of the union, Comrade Okunola Gabriel popurlarly know as HAYJAY, applauded the members of the union for given him opportunity to serve and he also appreciates the support given to him by his executive and the past presidents of the union.
He mentioned his achievements recorded during his tenure with the emergence of an onsuites in Onsu National Election and Naoss Election, winning of ONSU National Cup and other numerous achievements.
He urged other members of the union to continue contributing in their own quota towards the development and progress of Osogbo.
The Iyaloja of Osogboland, Alhaja Awawu Ajadematanle who also present at the event, advise the students not to wait for the government job but they should be creative and make something happen by engage themselves in a legal work that their relatives can proud off.
The Onsu Iree Chapter who Honours, the Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market and State Chairman of Prayer Warriors, Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe, the former President of the union, Comrade Finder. Akindele Abdulrauf Adediran (O'RAUF), an immediate President of the Union and Osogbo South LCDA Chairmanship Aspirant, Comrade Yusuf Idowu Abass (IDEAL), a business tycoon, Alhaja Aishat Bola and Plumber Association Oke-Baale Branch, they were honoured for their commitment, dedication and contributions towards the development and progress of Osogbo and it's environs.
