Tribute they say is written as a mark of honour to a leader who shows exemplary leadership qualities in all ramifications of human endavour.
And this article captured no other person than the man of the moment and leader of leaders, the pioneer Director General( now The Field Commander)of the Osun State Security Network code named"Osun Amotekun Corps", Comrade Amitolu Shittu,the Jagunmolu of Owu-Ile Kingdom and Bobakeye of Orooruwoland,whose appointment to lead the Osun State Security outfit clocks a year in office today April 24th,2020.
According to the legendary Williams Shakespeare who wrote in one of his famous books, 'The Twelfth Night' that "Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them".
Comrade Amitolu,fondly called "Amit" by his admirers, belongs to the unique class of people who were born great.This is because right from his childhood,he exhibited certain traits that demonstrated clearly that he was born a leader.
Since the State government under the able leadership of Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola announced his name on April 24th,2020 to pilot the affairs of the new security outfit from scratch, he used his wealth of experience as a General of People's Army and State Chairman, Police Community Relation Committee (PCRC) who gave him different opportunities to attend several security trainings and seminars at home and beyond, to swift into action by finding the feat for the new security outfit in the last one year of its establishment.
And in no distance time,Osun Amotekun Security Network becomes the household name across the length and breadth of the State in the fight against criminals such as illegal miners and particularly,during the#EndSars protest, the outfit performed beyond expectations by ensuring that some of the looted properties were recovered.
