As Christians around the world celebrate Easter, A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Ila local government and state of Osun, Hon. Kehinde Akerele, has felicitated with Christians in Ila local government, State of Osun and across the country on the commemoration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
This was contained in a statement made available to the newsmen in Lagos, he described the resurrection of Jesus Christ has a reminder of chastity and renewed vigour and hope.
"As a people, this season offers us the opportunity to reflect on the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross and his resurrection, and to put into practice the lessons of love, sacrifice, perseverance and humility which he taught and exemplified.
"We must continue to stand together in peace and unity as one people irrespective of religion or social differences. Let us seize the occasion to be our brothers keeper by reaching out to the less privileged amongst us.
"I pray that you and your family receive the immeasurable blessings of Easter on this amazing occasion. May your Easter remain a blessing to your family and friends. I pray that the Lord will bless your family with renewed power and blessings.
