Osun inaugurate members of Nigerian- American Chamber of Commerce... reaffirms commitment to promote made in osun goods.


In its efforts to ensure that made in osun goods are exposed to International and global marketing, the Governor of the State of Osun, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola inaugurate members of Nigerian -American Chamber of Commerce, State of Osun chapter to improve business activities.


The Governor who was represented by the State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment, Dr Bode Olaonipekun noted that, partnering with Nigerian- American Chamber of Commerce will exposed business operators to International frontier of business which will change the whole fortune of commerce, trade and industry in the state.


Dr Olaonipekun stressed that, Chambers of Commerce all around Nigeria are vehicle through which new opportunities are opened for business engagers to benefit.


He enjoined organized private sectors and business operators to make the best and maximum use of the opportunity presented to them, saying that, it is an assignment for us to hold firm and run with that at the end of the day, the new phase that trade and commerce is presenting in osun is given all attention to make Osun a great State.


Speaking at the epoch making engagement, the Director General of Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce( NACC), Mr Sola Obadimu said NACC is Nigeria's premier bilateral chamber whose mission is to foster trade and investment between Nigeria and the United States of America.



The goal of the chamber is to offer trade support and business linkages that will contribute meaningfully to the development of Nigeria, increase commercial activities, to generate more employment opportunity and as well increase our economy indices.


Mr Obadimu explained that, the chamber is committed to business activities and have admitted more than a thousand members across the sectors particularly Agriculture. Adding that, NACC have an ongoing important trade promotion programme: African Growth Opportunity Act (AGOA) led by America Country which enables Nigerians to import an array of products, including agricultural, duty-free into the United States, including animal feed, cashews, cocoa, ginger, oil seeds, and seafood. 


He enjoined organized private sectors to key into the inward and outward trade mission inorder to influence government policy and change the narrative of the state.


Also, the  Chairman, Property, Construction and Infastructure Sectoral Group, Mr. Ibukun Efuntayo appreciated the government of the State of Osun and organized Private Sectors for accepting NACC and assured that machinery have been put in place to ensure seamless registration of members in the state.


In their goodwill messages, Chairmen of Organized Private Sectors; Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industrialists ( NASSI) and Osun State Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture ( OSSCCIMA) commended the effort of  Governor Oyetola in ensuring businesses thrive in the state.


At the event were, the Coordinating Director of the Ministry of Commerce, Mrs Kehinde Odediran, Director of Commerce, Mrs Ajibola Falode, Industrialists and business operators in the state.
