The Osogbo South LCDA under the leadership of Mrs Olagunju Nimota Omowunmi has laid the foundation of a shopping complex at Gbagi Larooye Market Osogbo, the foundation was laid on thursday at the market square owode Ilesa garage Osogbo.
In her welcome address, the Council Manager Mrs Olagunju Nimota Omowunmi, appreciate the Governor of the state, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Abidemi Olanipekun (Larooye II), Commissioner For Commerce, Dr Bode Olaonipekun, Alhaji Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe, Iyaloja and Babaloja in the Market for their steadfastness and commitment towards the development of the market.
"Our motive is to build a world class complex in these market by allocating lands for those who are ready to build shop on time. So as to make all realm. We want to ensure that everything works seamlessly by the next three months.
"I must commend the commitment and dedication of the Government of the state towards the development of the market in the state, I will also applauded the dedication and support of Ataoja of Osogbo HRM Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Abidemi Olanipekun (Larooye II) and Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe the Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market Oke-baale Osogbo for their unfliching support towards the development of the market. The development of these market will improve the internal generated revenue generating from the market".
In his address, the Ataoja of Osogbo, HRM Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Abidemi Olanipekun Larooye II, applauded Governor Gboyega Oyetola for contributing meaningfully to market development in the state. He urged market men and women in the State to continue their support to the administration of governor Gboyega Oyetola because he meant well for the state.
