The Sasa Market Oke-Baale Osogbo has seek for the intervention and assistance of the State government of Osun under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola on the flood that destroyed properties worth millions of Naira in the market on Wednesday.

Idealplusgist.com correspondent gathered that the rain which started on Tuesday evening resulted into flood on Wednesday morning.

When speaking to our correspondent, the Otun Babaloja of Sasa Market, Alhaji Chief Kamarudeen Yusuf Efe, seek the intervention of the state government of Osun.

According to him, I want to appeal to the state of Osun government to intervene and render assistance to those who were affected by the flood, the covet bridge at Igbo-ifa is too tiny for free flow of water and that what led to flood that destroyed properties worth millions of Naira in the market, because that is the only covet bridge that is serving water coming through, Osbc, Iludun community and new East bye pass road been constructed by the state government and this covet is too tiny to withstand the water that is coming through this areas and in order to give itself ways it diverted into market which affected many properties. Though some months ago the state government of Osun has forseen what might happen when rain started, they brought excavator to the bridge to enlarge the water ways and clear all wastes dumped in River, the damage would have been too much if the government didn't enlarge the water ways and clear the wastes dumped into the river.

He urges the government of Osun under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola to come to their rescue by enlarge the covet bridge at Igbo-ifa Oke-Baale for free flow of water and they should assist those who affected by the flood.
