Former ambassador to the Philippines, Amb Yemi Farounbi has condoled with a former deputy governor of the State and former Osun East Senator, Senator Iyiola Omisore, over the death of his father, Oba David Omisore.
The late traditional ruler died on Tuesday last week. Until his demise, Oba David Omisore was the Olu of Olode in Ife South Local Government Area of Osun State.
Farounbi in his statement described the late monarch as a man of many parts who left behind an enduring legacies.
His statement reads, “The bible says, let your light shine before men that they see your good deeds. Baba you did that in your life too. Many incredible good deeds for which we will miss.”
“One of the incredible deeds is having behind an incredible good son – Iyiola.”
“To live in the hearts of those you left behind is not to die. Kabiyesi, you live forever.”
He however encouraged Senator Omisore and other members of the family to take solace in the fulfilled and exemplary life the late traditional ruler lived and continue with the good works he left behind.
He prayed to God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest and grant the family he left behind fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
