The two suspected rapist, who were arrested by the Osun Amotekun Corps in Iwo on 14th May, 2022 for raping a 17 years old girl, Stealing and filmed her, Adegoroye Afeez 24 years and Olamilekan Elijah 23 years, were charged before the Chief Magistrate A.A Ayeni in Court 2 Iwo for allegedly having canal knowledge of a 17 years old lady named withheld.
When the proceedings began, the suspects took a stand in the dock after which the charges were read to the duo.
The suspects lawyer, Tona Akande, prayed the court to release his clients on bail, pending the determination of the case against the duo.
Akande also drew the attention of the court to the fact that his clients was not contravened the 1999 constitution.
Magistrate A.A Ayeni when delivered his judgement after reading the five count charge against the duo, by unlawful rape a 17 years old girl named withheld and stole her two phones and #28,000 with her on 3rd, May, 2022 when perpetrating act at Oke-Bode area in Iwo. The Magistrate A.A Ayeni later referred the case to DPP for legal advice on the case.
Magistrate A.A. Ayeni, thereafter, adjourned the matter until Thursday 23rd, June 2022 to hear the case and ordered that they should remanded in Correctional Service Custody, pending the determination of the case.
