More facts have emerged on why violence broke out among the various factions of the political thugs working for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun.
. It was gathered that the N7million contract given to the leader of a new faction of the thugs to destroy the billboards of the incumbent governor and candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) access to the State, is the core of the crisis.
It was learned that those thugs who had been with the party were angry that a new entrant (leader of a faction of the gang) would be given such a job without consideration to those of them they met on the ground.
Amotekun only intervened to ensure the criminal war does not escalate and affect other innocent citizens of the State. So Amotekun should be commended and not vilified.
