Around 10:00 Hour of today Tuesday, June 14, 2022, during our normal routine patrol where we move round Ayetoro, Ogooluwa Alekuwodo, Itaolokan, and Oluode market axis but on getting to Balogun agoro area, we saw some people running, we stopped to check what is happening, we later discovered that they are chasing by Anti-cultism police after engaged in violence with one another around the area and we joined them in the operation and we later arrested one of those creating havoc in the area and we immediately handed them over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
Unfortunately while on this important assignment we received a distress call from our Field Commander private residential at Asubiaro that hoodlums in large number on Motorcycles with four people on each motorbike with harmful objects in their hands led by a notorious cultist who is on the wanted list of the Nigeria Police, Lekan known as EMIR vandalized the building glasses front door, tried to open the front gate before they were repelled by our men, One of their motorcycle and the rider was arrested when trying to escape suspect will be handed over to the conventional security after our investigations.
Our men did not kill anybody during any of our operations today. The general public should disregard any information alleging our men of the killing of two people in Osogbo, its fabrications by the enemies of progress to blemish the highly regarded image of Amotekun.
We appreciate the DCP Kenayo of Osun SCID and his team for their visit and the Director and Deputy Director of DSS Osun Command for their support and quick response after the incident.
Attackers of Osun Amotekun Field Commander Private residential must be brought to book.
