Eid-El-Kabir: Osun APC Chairman Greets Muslim Faithful, Prays For Peaceful Co-Existence


As Muslims mark the 2023 Eid el-Kabir, the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Osun State, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal as rejoiced with his Muslim brothers and sisters across the world.



The chairman whose friendship cuts across religious divides, urged Muslims to maintain the good deeds displayed during the holy month.



In a statement issued on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023, by his Media Office and made available to the newsmen in Osogbo, enjoined all Muslim faithful to continue to practice the teachings of the prophet Muhammad.


While noting that Ramadan has taught all Muslim faithful how to live a selfless and Godly life, Tajudeen Lawal, the former Commissioner for Home Affairs in Osun State, underscored the need for peaceful co-existence and the unity of Nigeria.


“I wish to enjoin all Muslim faithful to moderate themselves according to the teachings of the prophet Muhammad, before, during, and after the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.


“You should continue to extend love to one another, especially to the less-privileged in our society.


“We should also sustain the virtues of self-discipline, sacrifice, and compassion to fellow Nigerians, irrespective of religion, tribe, or race.”


The State Chairman, also prayed for the peace and unity of Nigeria, calling on all Nigerians to join hands in Nation building and supporting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kasim Shettima to take the country to a greater height in no distant time.


“I wish to enjoin all Nigerian Citizens to pray to the Almighty God, to continue to guide and lead our leaders aright in the journey of nation building,” Lawal added.
