Fuel Subsidy: NYAN Southwest Coordinator Ogunolu Tasks President Tinubu To Fast Track Solution Over High Price of Petrol


The Southwest Coordinator of NYAN Amb. Ogunolu Samsideen has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to fast-track solutions to all the marketers that are selling petrol at over-high prices which are affecting the Nigerian masses.


This was contained in a statement made available to the newsmen by his media office on Sunday in osogbo, the state capital, which described the present situation in the country as a challenging time.


He asks the president to constitute a task force that will monitor the marketers that are selling petrol more than the approved price by the NNPC, to help the masses enjoy the dividend of democracy.


"It is quite refreshing that we have started to realistically appraise our peculiarities by the removal of fuel subsidy but there are many more issues around corruption that we have to have the courage to deal with decisively".


He urged the President to follow through by appointing people on merit, holding such people accountable for any failure to attain defined milestones within fixed timelines. 

 

"The President must also reward honesty, probity, and selflessness in the public service to encourage sustainability generally".


"The president must put a high bar in the appointment of highly competent people, with a pedigree of hard work and uncommon integrity to handle the affairs of the ministry of, power, agriculture, youths, and employment, the management of the economy, health and public administration".
