APC Spain Chairman Adeayo Tella Commiserates with President Tinubu, Nigerian Army Over the Death of Gen. Lagbaja
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Spain, Amb. Adeayo Tella, has expressed deep condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigerian Army, and the family of Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, who tragically passed away recently.
In a statement issued today, Amb. Tella described the death of Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja as a monumental loss to the nation, the military, and all Nigerians who have been impacted by the late general’s leadership, dedication, and service to the country. He extended his heartfelt sympathy to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Tinubu, and all members of the Nigerian Army, noting the significant void left by the passing of such a distinguished officer.
“Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja was a shining example of commitment to duty and patriotism. His exceptional service to our country and the Nigerian Army is etched in the annals of our military history. His loss is deeply felt not only within the military but also by every Nigerian who admired his courage, wisdom, and tireless efforts in securing the nation,” Tella said.
The APC Spain Chairman further praised General Lagbaja’s leadership, saying that his contributions to national security and defense were invaluable. He called on Nigerians, both at home and in the diaspora, to honor the late general’s legacy by continuing to support and promote unity, peace, and progress in the country.
“We stand with President Tinubu, the Nigerian Army, and the entire nation during this difficult time,” Tella added. “May General Lagbaja’s soul rest in peace, and may his family find comfort in the enduring impact of his work and legacy.”
Amb. Tella also called for solidarity among Nigerians during this period of mourning, urging citizens to remain resilient and focused on building a stronger, more secure nation in line with the values Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja upheld throughout his life.
