Brave Women President Evang. Matilda Farinde Condoles With Tinubu, Olobu, Gov. Adeleke, Nigerian Army Over the Death of COAS Lagbaja



The President of Brave Women Association Worldwide, Evang. Matilda Dele Farinde, has expressed her deepest condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Olobu of Ilobu, Osun State Governor Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, the Nigerian Army, and the family of the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja, following his untimely passing.


In her statement, Evang. Farinde described the late Lt. General Lagbaja as a dedicated and courageous leader who served the nation with honor and distinction. She acknowledged his outstanding contributions to national security, particularly in strengthening the Nigerian Army's resolve to ensure peace and stability across the country. The passing of such a distinguished officer, she said, marks a great loss not only to the military but to the entire nation.


"The tragic demise of Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja is a heavy blow to the Nigerian Army and to all Nigerians who have benefited from his years of service. His legacy of selfless commitment to the defense of our nation will not be forgotten. 


On behalf of the Brave Women Association Worldwide, I extend our deepest sympathy to his family, the Nigerian Army, and all those who worked closely with him. May his soul rest in perfect peace," said Evang. Farinde.


The Brave Women Association President also commended the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Adeleke for their commitment to maintaining the security and well-being of Nigerians, particularly in these challenging times. She urged the Nigerian Army and all security agencies to continue working together in unity and strength to uphold the peace and integrity of the nation, honoring the memory of their fallen leader by continuing his mission of service to the country.


Further, Evang. Farinde sent her heartfelt prayers to the family of Lt. General Lagbaja, noting the personal pain they must be experiencing, and assured them that the association stands with them during this difficult time. She also recognized the leadership and wisdom of the Olobu of Ilobu, sending her condolences to the royal family and the people of Ilobu.


Evang. Matilda Farinde concluded by urging all Nigerians to reflect on the sacrifices of the nation's heroes, such as the late COAS, and to remain united in the face of adversity, in order to build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Nigeria for future generations.
