Non-Profit Organization DAYEHS Pays Tuition Fees for Two Pupils, Provides Food Support for Parents
The Distinct Advocacy for Youths Empowerment and Healthier Society (DAYEHS), a non-governmental organization, demonstrated its commitment to education and community support by presenting a cheque of ₦100,000 on Tuesday to cover the tuition fees of two schoolchildren in Osogbo. The donation, which will cover one academic session, follows a negotiated subsidy with the school management through a scholarship arrangement.
In addition to the tuition support, DAYEHS also provided food assistance to help the children's parents manage their household needs. This gesture highlights the organization's ongoing efforts to empower youth and foster a healthier society.
According to the organization, "Jamiu Aduragbemi age 10, is a brilliant boy whose education had been paused at earlier stage for lack of fund and he is just resuming back to Nursery at age 10. The mother picks cartons and plastics for recycling to get daily bread and Ajeigbe Marvelous age 12 is in JSS2. The mother also trying hard to make ends meet.
"With fear of transportation to the nearby public school,they enrolled their children in "BERACHA" "JUBILEE SCHOOL", Ota-efun Osogbo, Osun State, even without being able to afford uniform for them.
"The school management has tried in consideration of their condition but almost exhausted.
"The information came to us (DAYEHS)and our investigation revealed that the parents are truly indigent.Pitiable condition for real, they need to be helped .
"On this account, our organization, Distinct Advocacy For Youths Empowerment And Healthier Society, "DAYEHS", presented a cheque of #100,000 to cover their tuition for one session, having negotiated subsidy in the Scholarship Award with the school management. This also come with little food support for the parents.We pray God will accept this for us as a reasonable service to HIM".
DAYEHS as a Non Profit, promotes Youths Empowerment, Restoration of Moral values, Community Development, Healthy living and Charity for the betterment of our society.
