The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Switzerland, Ambassador Adebayo Alfonso, has urged residents of Ondo State to turn out in large numbers and cast their votes for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for Saturday, 16th November 2024.


In a recent interview with journalists, Amb. Alfonso expressed his unwavering support for Governor Aiyedatiwa, emphasizing that he is the right candidate to continue leading the state towards progress and development. He described Governor Aiyedatiwa as "a round peg in a round hole" for the people of Ondo State, highlighting his competence, leadership qualities, and commitment to the welfare of the people.


"Governor Aiyedatiwa has proven his dedication to the development of Ondo State. He embodies the qualities of a true leader—one who listens to the people, understands their needs, and works tirelessly to improve their lives. His leadership has brought tangible progress, and he is the best candidate to continue this journey," Amb. Alfonso stated.


He also appealed to the people of Ondo State to demonstrate their support by voting overwhelmingly for Aiyedatiwa, ensuring that the state remains on a path of sustained growth and prosperity.


Ambassador Alfonso praised the efforts of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration, particularly in areas such as infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and security. He noted that the state had made significant strides under Aiyedatiwa's leadership and that there is a need for continuity to build on these achievements.


"As we approach the elections, I urge the good people of Ondo State to show their confidence in Governor Aiyedatiwa by voting for him. He has demonstrated the vision, passion, and capacity to move the state forward. This is a moment to consolidate the gains we have made and ensure a brighter future for all Ondo residents," Alfonso added.


The Chairman also called on Ondo citizens to conduct themselves peacefully during the election process and to reject any form of violence or intimidation. He urged them to embrace their civic responsibility and participate in the democratic process to help shape the future of the state.


Amb. Alfonso concluded by reaffirming the APC's commitment to ensuring free, fair, and credible elections in Ondo State, expressing confidence that Governor Aiyedatiwa would emerge victorious on Election Day.
